Red White Blue (RWB) is the initiative of the Directors of the Western Bulldogs Forever Foundation, more commonly known as the Forever Foundation. It intends to establish a ‘network of networks’ of like-minded people, who value fellowship and friendship around the excitement of the Western Bulldogs, recognising the energy and impact it can have on the western community of Melbourne. It is not intended to be a major fundraiser. People who join it should not fear that they will be approached or solicited for funds in support of the Western Bulldogs.
It is intended that this group be a nursery for future development of Forever Foundation, the Football Club, and possibly other initiatives that may emanate from the Forever Foundation’s work.
The activities of RWB are intended to embrace all age groups and genders. To be friendly, good fun and in the main light hearted - where people can bond, share companionship and stories.
Donations of $1,000 to the Forever Foundation will be
recognised with membership to RWB
RWB is a gathering of like-minded people to enjoy the fellowship of others through the spirit of Cede Nullius - never give up - as embodied in the red, white and blue of the Western Bullldogs Football Club.
It is intended to host three functions per year, and possibly one special function (to be determined).
The proposed functions are:
RWB is an initiative and activity of the Forever Foundation (Please note the website is presently being updated).
The Forever Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation established with the sole purpose of engaging in activities for the benefit of the Football Club and its future.
The Forever Foundation’s motto is Today. Tomorrow. And Forever.
The Foundation is managed by an independent Board of Directors (non-renumerated), all of whom have had a long and credentialed history with the WBFC, nee Footscray Football Club. All Directors are members of the Club. The Foundation is independently audited, and is registered with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF), which enables donations to be tax deductible.
Funds that the Foundation raise through its various initiatives are directed towards the Club, for example, the Whitten Oval redevelopment, the replacement of equipment for use by the players, or in recent times, the production of the Historic Player’s Register. This wonderful book can be purchased from the Bulldogs shop at the Whitten Oval.
The Foundation was instrumental in raising substantial funds for the redevelopment of Whitten Oval which we all enjoy today.
Membership of the Club is free and does not convey any rights or benefits. In order to finance the Club and support the Western Bulldogs via the Forever Foundation, Members are requested to make voluntary tax deductible donations as follows
Prices will be set and Members will be advised at the time of invitations being issued.
Functions are intended to be run at cost recovery only and are not tax deductible.
RWB is not intending to raise significant or substantial funds for the Club. Its intention is to provide an environment for kindred spirits, who are enthusiastic about the energy and direction of the Bulldogs, to find a way in which they can associate with the Club.
RWB is also intended to provide the opportunity to nurture people who have an interest in the Club but at this point of time do not want to be directly approached by the Club.
You foundation donation of $1,000 can be made to the Club’s project which is registered with the Australian Sports Foundation who will issue receipts for all moneys contributed.
Foundation donations are tax deductible for PAYE earners at marginal tax rate. Payments made by Companies - the taxation position at your own determination. Ongoing annual donations of $250 will be made annually and also administered by the Australian Sports Foundation with receipts being issued.
Funds raised through the RWB Foundation donations (after administration expenses) will be used in accordance with the purposes and objectives of the Forever Foundation.
No, in fact many Members follow the Bulldogs but equally follow another football club. However we encourage all bulldogs supporters to be members of the football club.
