CALDPlay

Target Audience: People of all ages who have recently arrived to Australia and reside in the West of Melbourne and Victoria.

The CALDPlay Program provides over 2000 new Australians annually with sports-based experiences that help to introduce and integrate them into our community.

Working alongside English Language Schools in the West, the CALDplay program runs for six weeks during each school term, with participants having the opportunity to learn four different team sports. This sustainable model is set-up in conjunction with partners including Netball Victoria, AFL Victoria and Western United FC.

The structured sports programs assist participants to make social connections and enhance their economic and personal wellbeing by providing opportunities to speak English in a social setting and developing employability skills through sport, particularly teamwork and communication.
